Scubapirate.com is one of the oldest scuba
websites on the world wide web. We have been around since 1995. The
site was originally used for local Seattle are scuba instructors to
post open-water and continuing education classes for scuba.

Evolution ...
Our founder Buccaneer Dan back in 1995 was
teaching scuba, designing websites, running an Internet Service
Provider (Micropirates) along with working a real job. His
vision was the next frontier of exploration would be the virtual seas
(what some called the Information Superhighway). Dan with ASP
programmer and artist extraordinaire C. Kelly Nowicki implemented The
Website Workshop®
on scubapirate.com. This was the first web based directory of scuba
professionals from a mix of different scuba training agencies. The
same program was also implemented for other scuba businesses on the
site. While the program was excellent, the main drawback was the users
had to input a lot of there own information. In this day and age no
one wants to do anymore than point and click if left a lot of listings
quite empty. users also felt "I have a website, so why would I need a
mini-website (which was the listing.

Advertising on the web ...
In the early days of search engines it
was easy to get a high placement in the pre-Google days.
Scubapirate.com at one time had the top listing on AltaVista search engine
for "pirate flags". Times have changed. So if you found us we either
are really good or you are really lucky.

We have been continually upgrading our software and
other services since we started. When you sign up with us, it is the
beginning of a business purchase that gets better all the time. We
have been in business long enough to know that if we don't serve your
